Have you taken the bra fit quiz and found your perfect size and found the styles and fabrics you like in a bra? Like many women who have taken these steps, you probably then purchased several bras in these styles and sizes. However, not all tops have the same design, and you may show a little more of your bra than you like in these tops without changing bra styles. Therefore, these are some hacks to help you hide your bra straps.
Tightening Your Straps
Have you ever worn a tank top and felt like you constantly had to push your bra straps up? When your bra straps are tight enough, they do not slip or move as you move. As you tighten your straps, place one finger under the strap. Tighten them to the point that only one finger will fit beneath your bra strap. Make sure your bra band isn’t pulled out of place as you adjust your straps.
Wear Bras That Fit Properly
Have you ever considered that you may not wear the right size bra? If you have never had a bra fitting, consider going to a lingerie store and having one. During this fitting, the clerk will measure you and give you your exact bra size and sister bra sizes that could work for you. When you start wearing the right size, your straps and cups should fit properly against your chest.
Using a Strap Clip
Strap clips pinch your bra straps together at the back of your bra. You can move them up and down your straps to pull them in at different areas and for different racerback styles. If you have a top that just has thin straps around your neck with fabric over the straps in the front and back, you can use a strap clip in the front of your outfit to keep your straps invisible.
Using Common Items
Bobby pins are also great tools for keeping your bra in place and hiding your straps. You can use them to hold your tank top straps in place if they are thin straps. For example, place bobby pins at the front and back where the strap meets the tank top and hook them to your bra straps.
Bobby pins also work well with strapless tops. You can pull your bra straps down and tuck them into your bra. Then, use bobby pins to hold them in place at the back and sides of your bra. This should prevent them from slipping out and showing above your top.
You can also use safety pins to attach your bra straps to your top. This works great for off-the-shoulder or thin-strap tank-style tops.
Go Strapless
Some tops just require you to go strapless. In this case, choose a bra that fully supports your breasts, such as a strapless bra for big boobs. Find the right size and support level so that your breasts look their best under those strapless or off-the-shoulder tops. You can also try the tools on the market, such as fashion tape or clear straps, to hide your straps.
Test these methods to see what is most comfortable, convenient and effective for you.
